Kiosk ID no. 026 is the brainchild of Barcelona wave-benders Gespona and Martín Cozar. On ‘Resilience,’ the duo merges an eclectic array of nuanced sounds with stripped groove structures, delivering a funk-infused four-tracker with three floor-focused originals and an emotional reimagination by Remcord.

‘Resilience’ draws its infectious dancefloor power from a groove-driven amalgamation of jarring, artfully intertwined sounds. Gespona and Martín Cozar cast classic house chord chops, a captivatingly choppy MC hook, and funky acoustic basslines into a pulsating and sexy framework – dynamic, driving, and irresistibly danceable.

Remcord’s rework transports the original’s eclectic soundscapes into a reverberating cathedral of rippling, washed-out percussion and subtle resonance. Morphing fields of pads and heavenly plucks transform ‘Resilience’ into a floating, hymnal ballad that casts springy clouds of ambient glitter across a delicate tribal substructure.

‘Mambo’ is sub-heavy and peevishly spirited. Contrasting a thunderous martial groove, futuristic sweeps, and overdriven impacts with a Swing-era brass section, ‘Mambo’ reimagines the anything-goes energies of the roaring twenties in an electric peak-time crusher with a literal twist.

‘Lamari’ unfolds a funky bassline, resonating electric impacts, and brightly cascading synth stabs. Mythical whispers and spaced-out robotic vocals imbue the track with powerful hypnotic qualities, progressively transforming ‘Lamari’ into a slow-burning dancefloor seance.

Drawing on stripped tribal grooves, bursts of electric futurism, and playful leftfield inserts, ‘Resilience’ delivers a striking and profoundly unique brand of driving dancefloor modernism.
